​Meet Simone and Marc — The Heart Behind Tulla Plains Puppies

​

Tulla Plains Puppies was founded with a simple mission: to provide families of all types with beautiful, happy, healthy, and well-adjusted puppies.

​

We’re a family of four living our best life in a rural farming community on the NSW/VIC border. Having both grown up in the area, Marc and I moved back after some time in the Northern Territory to raise our own children in the countryside we’ve always called home. With a love for animals, extensive experience in animal husbandry and our roots in rural living, naturally led to the creation of Tulla Plains Puppies.

For Marc, a love of dogs began early. His father was passionate about field retrieving and bred his own line of retrieving dogs. The family also ran a well-regarded small dog boarding facility that served the local community. The hands-on experience Marc gained through breeding, raising, and caring for dogs from a young age has played a vital role in shaping the values and success of Tulla Plains Puppies.

Simone also shares a  lifelong connection with animals. An avid horse rider since childhood, she grew up in a family that loved the outdoors, field retrieving, and raising dogs as companions. Her intuitive understanding of animal behavior and her passion for nurturing animals have always guided the way we care for our puppies and parent dogs.

Today, we live in a quaint country cottage on acreage, surrounded by open spaces, sprawling lawns and shady gum trees — an ideal environment for our dogs to thrive. We feel incredibly fortunate to share this peaceful, rural lifestyle with our beautiful canine companions.

At Tulla Plains Puppies, ethical breeding practices are at the core of everything we do. We are dedicated to the health, happiness, and development of our puppies. Each litter is carefully planned to ensure the best possible outcomes in terms of temperament, physical health, and family compatibility. We prioritise ongoing improvement to ensure every puppy is well-prepared for a happy, healthy future.
